Matt Bowers, JD

Director (Non-Executive)

Matt is a senior executive and General Counsel at Rayliant, where he oversees the firm’s legal and compliance functions, including human resources, legal strategy, and risk mitigation. Throughout his career, Matt has specialised in identifying opportunities for organisations to improve efficiency while managing institutional risk. Prior to joining Rayliant, he provided legal counsel at one of the world’s largest law firms, litigating and advising on operational issues in the finance, hospitality, entertainment and labor industries. Most recently, Matt served in the General Counsel’s office at a global labor union, providing legal and policy advice in various areas. Matt received a BA degree with Honors from the University of California, Davis, and a JD from the UCLA School of Law. He holds securities certifications from the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI), and certifications in Global Financial Compliance (GFC) and Investment Operations (IOC) from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), where he is also an associate member (ACSI).
