Giles is Senior Research Analyst at Henderson Rowe, responsible for fundamental research and stock selection for the firm’s client portfolios. He also collaborates with Rayliant’s quant team to enhance the screening process and provide fundamental input to Rayliant’s quantamental indices.
Giles co-founded Henderson Rowe, having designed and managed the investment system running every type of client accounts and oversaw the firm’s research, operations and compliance. Initially CIO and CFO, he was CEO from 2015 through to its acquisition by Rayliant Global Advisors in 2018. His more than 35 years’ experience in financial services began with a stint in M&A at Henry Ansbacher PLC in 1984, followed by 15 years as a corporate financier at Cazenove and Co. He later joined Beeson Gregory, where he set up a Risk Diversification Fund for their tech start-up entrepreneurs.
Giles received an MA (Hons) in psychology and philosophy from Oxford and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds the PCIAM qualification, while also pursuing an Open University maths degree.
Giles has great respect for the uncontrollable forces of the markets and enjoys nothing better than helping clients navigate their way through them without loss of sleep or, hopefully, money.
