Henderson Rowe was founded in 2002 with the aim of doing things a little differently. We understand that our clients are unique individuals and so each portfolio is built according to your specific needs.

We believe in our products, know they perform well and don’t take any unnecessary risks with our client’s money. We do this by keeping it simple – avoiding complexity in our investments and providing transparency in what we do – to give you peace of mind.

Giles Rowe is Henderson Rowe’s founder and CEO, setting up Henderson Rowe in 2002 after twenty years in the investment business. Giles’ background is in M&A and corporate finance as a capital markets analyst, advising companies ranging from start-ups to FTSE 100 members. One of the earliest adopters of ETFs in private client portfolios, Giles believes using individual stocks can avoid excessive diversification and create focussed transparent portfolios.  After cutting his teeth in Henry Ansbacher’s Media and Communications M&A team he spent 15 years at Cazenove corporate finance working on a massive range of deals, and set up a risk diversification fund for entrepreneurs at Beeson Gregory. Giles read PPP at Oxford and has an MBA from Cranfield.

Artur joined Henderson Rowe back in 2008 as an analyst with a focus on global companies. Since then he has been promoted to Head of Research and has become a member of the Henderson Rowe's Investment Committee. Artur works closely with the company’s CEO, Giles Rowe, on fundamental analysis, bottom-up stock selection and portfolio positioning. In 2015 Artur was asked to join the board and is now a director as well as a shareholder. Prior to joining Henderson Rowe Artur was an analyst at the Ministry of State Treasury of Poland and was involved in the implementation of the privatisation program, asset conversion, bankruptcy and liquidation of SOEs. Artur completed the Bruce Greenwald’s Value Investing programme at Columbia Business School and holds an MSc in International Business from the Grenoble École de Management. In 2017 Art was named as one of the PAM Top 40 under 40, an initiative which recognises the rising stars of the industry.

Michael is a highly skilled and accomplished Compliance leader, who joined Henderson Rowe as Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) from June 2017. Michael has over 15 years’ experience in multi-discipline Regulatory Compliance, across wealth management, private banking and financial planning businesses, having worked with industry leading private client investment managers such as Coutts, Brewin Dolphin and Kleinwort Benson.

Toby Thomson is the Head of Sales and a Chartered Wealth Manager. Toby joined Henderson Rowe in 2009 and has now spent over ten years in the investment industry including stockbroking, land and property. He was an accomplished sportsman and has played rugby and boxed at county and semi-professional level. He is passionate about history and geopolitics, as well as his beautiful Brazilian wife and young daughter.

Ana joined Henderson Rowe in 2013 as a portfolio analyst. Her qualifications include a MA and BSc (Hons) in Business management from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Prior to joining Henderson Rowe, Ana worked for Santander Bank, where she was responsible for credit risk management across a range of sectors.

Charles Aram is a non-executive director of Henderson Rowe and one of the founders of the business. He started the company in 2002 after a decade of investment and managerial experience.

The lead investment manager of our FTSE RAFI team, Graham has over 15 years of investment management experience, managing a variety of portfolios on behalf of retail, institutional and hedge fund clients. Graham began his career at Abbey Life (Lloyds TSB) where he was responsible for managing over £1bn of derivative and indexed portfolios including the group pension's global indexed basket and the Lloyds FTSE 100 Retail Index Tracker. After leaving Lloyds, he moved to Deutsche Asset Management where he was part of the Quantitative Techniques team managing £3bn of global indexed and structured portfolios for a variety of DeAM's institutional clients. Before joining Henderson Rowe, Graham was part of the Portfolio Engineering team at Old Mutual Asset Management, being responsible for portfolio construction and risk management of a number of OMAM's hedge fund portfolios.

Maria del Mar is a Portfolio Analyst and joined the Henderson Rowe research team after gaining 7 years' experience in financial services working for BNP Paribas, Ernst & Young and Fitch Ratings. Prior to Henderson Rowe, she was a Credit Analyst within the commodities trading industry and possesses a portfolio of expertise having worked in roles across the business cycle. Her qualifications include an MBA and BSc (Hons) in Business & Finance. She is also a keen sportswoman, excelling at football and volleyball.

Toby Thomson is the Head of Sales and a Chartered Wealth Manager. Toby joined Henderson Rowe in 2009 and has now spent over ten years in the investment industry including stockbroking, land and property. He was an accomplished sportsman and has played rugby and boxed at county and semi-professional level. He is passionate about history and geopolitics, as well as his beautiful Brazilian wife and young daughter.

John is a Chartered Wealth Manager who read Economics and Geography at University College London before working as an economic analyst for political and corporate clients. While completing an MSc in Political Economy at at Birkbeck College, University of London, John taught economics and finance to degree and MBA students. He worked as a principal trader on the European bond markets prior to joining Henderson Rowe in 2007. In 2010 John established the Investor Visa offering at Henderson Rowe and continues to develop services for the company’s international client base. John is an accomplished sportsman having represented university and county in both rugby and athletics and continues to play rugby 7’s.

Adam is a Senior Investment Manager at Henderson Rowe where he is focused on building bespoke portfolios and managing relationships across a progressive client base. Prior to joining Henderson Rowe in 2005, he spent six years in the Property and Capital Markets industry servicing High Net Worth clients who required a wide range of structuring and investment solutions. His knowledge of the Securities industry combined with his own entrepreneurial interests led him to Henderson Rowe where he has developed a reputation for delivering an extremely high level of personal client service. Adam is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Patrick Donovan is a Senior Investment Manager with over 40 years experience of Capital Markets, bond trading and Private Banking. Following a Law degree from Oxford, he joined a leading European Bond trading house and over the next 20 years worked as a sales trader in various countries including Hong Kong, Switzerland, France, Belgium and the USA. He subsequently worked with Merrill Lynch Private Bank in London for eight years. He is fluent in French and Italian and runs the Henderson Rowe High Frequency CFD and Equity trading desk.

Andrew is a Senior Investment Manager. Andrew has over 20 years’ experience as an international investment manager specialising in Asia and Japan, with 7 years spent in Hong Kong. He has worked for Skandia, New Star, Quaestor and Manulife Financial and has managed a variety of accounts, such as small caps, investment trusts, hedge funds, charitable endowments and OEICs. From 2004-2009 he was a senior member of News Star's institutional investment team, which managed over £3 billion in international equities for global institutions.
He has a BA in History from Cambridge University and a Masters in Wealth Management from CISI.

Dom is a Senior Investment Manager and since 2005, he has built multi-year, trusted relationships with his clients at Henderson Rowe. In addition to managing portfolios of equities and bonds for UK entrepreneurs, he also works with a number of intermediaries and Investor Visa clients. He joined after reading Geography at University College London and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MCSI).

Finlay is a Senior Investment Manager at Henderson Rowe with over 20 years experience in UK and global investment. He has a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Systems Engineering from RMCS Shrivenham and after Sandhurst was a captain in the Royal Corps of Signals. Finlay also has an MSc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University (1994), and started his investment career in Glasgow with Scottish Amicable, where he also became a Chartered Financial Analyst. Finlay has worked at Edinburgh Fund Managers and Baring Asset Management as an analyst and manager of various pension funds, investment trusts and OEICs. At Henderson Rowe Finlay looks after a wide range of private clients and also manages a number of outperforming risk-rated portfolios for one of the biggest Independent Financial Adviser support services companies in the UK. Finlay is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.

Neil is an Investment Manager at Henderson Rowe, with 10 years’ experience working in investment management and stockbroking with High Net Worth individuals. Prior to this, he read Politics at Loughborough University and continues to be an active member of the Conservative Party. Outside the office, Neil helps support disadvantaged youths though the charity Friendship Works. He is also a keen footballer and a dedicated Tottenham Hotspur fan.

Stefan is an Investment Manager at Henderson Rowe. He has 6 years’ experience in investment banking, working in corporate finance teams at Deutsche Bank and PwC. He has provided strategic advice to a number of FTSE 100 & 250 companies, as well as executing over £500m worth of equity market transactions. Stefan read Economics at the University of Birmingham before going on to PwC, where he won an individual excellence award. Stefan has also been named in Wealth Manager’s UK Top 30 under 30: the 2017 class of new wealth talent.

Stefan has competed at county level in athletics, football and golf, and currently plays rugby at an international and semi-professional level. In addition, Stefan has spent a number of years caring for individuals with learning difficulties.

Charlie is an Investment Manager at Henderson Rowe. Before joining Henderson Rowe Charlie was on the Close Brothers Asset Management Future Leaders Programme 2015 and worked for two years with investment products specifically designed for Inheritance Tax mitigation. Charlie holds the CFA Investment Management Certificate and the CISI Investment Advice Diploma unit in Securities, previously he graduated from King’s College London in Political Economy and Eton College. Outside of Henderson Rowe Charlie closely follows Formula 1 and Chelsea FC. His ambition is to set the Cresta Run record.

Thomas joined Henderson Rowe in 2016. He spent 4 years developing the Odey Wealth Management Private Client division within Odey Asset Management. Thomas worked with some of Europe’s largest and most demanding institutional investors. Thomas is working towards obtaining Chartered status by studying to complete the CISI Masters in Wealth Management. He studied Politics at the University of Leeds, specialising in European Politics. He is a keen waterman and martial arts practitioner.

Jolin is Henderson Rowe’s Operations and Finance manager. She joined Henderson Rowe in 2008 after working for an accountancy practice. Jolin studied at Oxford Brookes University and went on to become a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Since joining Henderson Rowe, Jolin has also gained a Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. When not in the office, Jolin likes going to the gym and doing yoga classes.

Malean joined Henderson Rowe in 2007 after graduating with a BSc(Hons) in Economics. She provides day to day maintenance, administration of client portfolios and operations support to the team. Malean holds the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI) Level 3 certificate in Investment Operations.

Since joining Henderson Rowe in 2014, Ruth del Rosario Careaga has supported the Compliance Officer, the Investment Management team and the Operations team. Ruth has passed her level 3 examination in Investment Management and Securities and is currently focused on obtaining her Diploma in Investment Compliance, both from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. She is a keen student of languages, being bilingual in English and Spanish. Ruth enjoys travelling and keeping fit by swimming, doing yoga and roller-blading.

Stella Ikoro is Henderson Rowe’s Compliance Assistant, working very closely with Sarah-Jane Loriot the Head of Compliance. Stella joined Henderson Rowe in 2015 initially dealing with Tax. Stella studied at Sheffield Hallam University where she obtained her LLB Law Honors degree. She went on to become a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). After completing her ACCA qualification, Stella obtained a Masters Degree from Bournemouth University in MSc Finance with Risk Management were she was awarded a distinction.
